Flame cells of Platyhelminths are interesting for knowing more about the physiology of these parasites

Great Job!! Beautiful images and also very illustrative. Regarding about the protonephridial system and flame cells, related with some cytoskeletal proteins, similar concepts emerged during the visualization of similar proteins in a cestode of human health importance named Taenia solium (PLoS ONE: 6(3): e14754. 2011). For us, all these results are indicative that flame cells of Platyhelminths could be interesting cells for knowing more abouth the physiology of this type of parasites and to amplify the studies in order to know exactly their role in the survival of the parasites in their hosts.
